Gold Colour Block Mini Vases

Top Tip

Try to use the tape as a guide for the pen rather than painting over it, as it is tricky to make a fully secure masking strip around a curved object and the paint may bleed under the tape.

  1. Decide on the area that you would like to be painted - work with the shape of the vase, accent the upper and lower sections, or add a wide band at the base. Use a strip of masking tape to neatly mask off the area for painting.
  2. Use a gold porcelain paint pen to colour in the section, work in neat long strokes to fill the section.
  3. Set aside to dry for up to four hours. Apply a second coat paying attention to any missed areas.
  4. Once fully dry, bake in the oven at 160 degrees for 90 minutes to heat fix design, then allow to cool in oven before removing.
