Mum Heart Keyring

Top Tip

When stuffing the heart, pull the cotton wool ball into lots of smaller pieces to ensure it doesn’t make the keyring look lumpy once stuffed.

  1. Download and print off the template provided. Cut out two large hearts from pink felt.
  2. Cut out a small rectangle from pink felt approx. 1.5 x 4cm in size and fold this over a split metal ring. Take one of your pink hearts and place the felt loop at the edge of the heart so that the split metal ring is sticking out. Then take your second pink heart and place this over the top.
  3. Thread a needle with a length of purple embroidery thread and tie a knot on one end. Start by sewing on the split metal ring to secure this in place then continue sewing your way around the heart and when you have almost reached the end,
  4. stop and fill the heart up with cotton wool.
  5. Once you have stuffed the keyring then sew the gap up and tie with a knot when you have reached the end.
  6. Cut out a small heart from purple felt, apply some glue to the back and then stick this to the front of the keyring.
  7. To finish, stick on some self-adhesive foam letters to personalise.
