Top Tip
The tail pieces can be tricky to line up back-to-back, so snip with scissors in any places that don’t meet up exactly.
How to Make
- Print out the template and cut out the pieces with scissors. Draw around the template pieces onto the back of some self-adhesive felt and cut them out. Place them to one side for later.
- Draw two ears on to your cardboard tube at one end and cut off the excess cardboard with scissors.
- Peel the backing from a sheet of self-adhesive felt and wrap it around the tube starting from the back. Cut off excess felt from the end and cut and fold the felt over the top and around the ears if desired. (Or cut flush to the cardboard tube).
- Remove the backing from the tail pieces and stick them back-to-back. Apply some double-sided tape to the back on the squirrel and stick the tail on.
- Remove the backing from the felt template pieces and stick them on to the squirrel in the appropriate places.
