How to Make

  1. Cut out a rectangle from yellow paper (the length of A4 paper by 8cm). You can use the template as a guide to follow.
  2. Using a pencil and ruler mark and draw 7cm long vertical lines across the rectangle, leaving 1cm between each line. You can use the template as a guide to follow.
  3. Cut along the lines drawn previously.
  4. Begin to roll the strips of paper towards the base of the rectangle.
  5. Once all the strips are rolled, stick one end of the base of the rectangle to a green straw and then roll the paper around the straw and stick the end to the paper straw. If your paper straw isn’t green, you can cover it with green paper.
  6. Using the template draw and cut out the leaves and stick them onto the stem with double-sided sticky tape. You can use the tabs at the bottom of the leaves so that they securely stick to the stem.
