Salad Spinner Flowers

How to Make

1. Firstly, draw and cut out circles from white card, you can trace around the bottom of the salad spinner to make sure the circle is small enough to fit inside.
2. Using a glue dot temporarily stick one of the white circles inside the salad spinner.
3. Then squirt pastel ready-mix paint onto the white circle and then secure the lid on top and spin the handle.
4. When you remove the lid, you will be left with an abstract design on the white circle.
5. When the paint is dry, using the template cut out flowers.
6. Fold a pastel green pipe cleaner in half and twist it around itself to make the stem shorter and sturdier.
7. Stick the pipe cleaner to the back of the flower and then stick a yellow button in the centre of the flower.
8. To make the flower 3D squeeze the sides of each petal together.

Top Tip

When you reveal your paint design you can always layer more paint on top and spin again to adapt your design.
